Lake Champlain has wonderful variations in weather in September ranging from brilliant sunshine spotlights to moody, cool cloud cover. I tried to capture my two favorite Champlain weather “moods” spending no more than 30 minutes on the sketch using only watercolor pencils, water brush, and Micron pen.

The Shelburne Museum has a wonderful textile collection. I don’t know what is going on in this quilt panel, but it looks like fun.
